IBNNZ Wellington and Auckland are hosting events with Nic Russell
It is 6 months to the day until we celebrate our IBNNZ St Patrick's Day Lunch in Parliament on 17th March 2027. IBNNZ operates in six chapters across New Zealand. It aims to provide a friendly and open forum for business people with a connection to Ireland to network and socialise together. The Tara Trust has partnered with IBNNZ since the inception of this event. Put the date in your diary now. If you want to pre-book your ticket, email us to secure your place. September Fundraiser In order to continue the work we do we are delighted to be collaborating with Auckland Irish Club to hold a fundraising Quiz Night on September 11th at 6.30pm. The kitchen will be open from 5.00pm. It is free entry and there will be raffles throughout the night so bring your cash. The Tara Trust and Friends of Ireland would like to wish everyone a happy Bloomsday, in tribute to the works of renowned author James Joyce. June 16 is the day on which James Joyce’s groundbreaking Modernist novel, 'Ulysses', is set. In Dublin there is a whole festival dedicated to Bloomsday.

Finishing our celebration of St Brigid's Day. We finish celebrating St Brigid's Day with our last exceptional woman. Thank you to all the women who kindly allowed us to profile them and their achievements in NZ. In collaboration with IBNNZ, St Patrick's Festival NZ, Embassy of Ireland New Zealand, and Mná na hÉireann we will be celebrating exceptional women in NZ. Brigid is the patron saint of poets. But that’s not all – she’s also the patron saint of midwives, newborns, Irish nuns, fugitives, blacksmiths, dairymaids, boatmen, chicken farmers, cattle, scholars, sailors, and no doubt many more. She is also, along with Patrick and Columcille, one of the three patron saints of Ireland. 1st of February - also marks the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
